FDA Issues Order Restricting Extra-Label Cephalosporin Use in Food-Producing Animals

On January 4, FDA issued a Press Release and Q&A on the Order of Prohibition that will issue in the next several days. The extra-label use of cephalosporin drugs in major food-producing animals (cattle, swine, chickens and turkeys) will be significantly restricted.
